What is The Second Amendment Police Department?

2AMPD is a law enforcement oriented information service and Internet presence represented at this website and by an Internet discussion group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/2ampd/. Members share news items and legislative alerts and activities with fellow Second Amendment activists on the net.

Leroy Pyle is a retired police officer and owner,  webmaster/moderator for the organization. As the result of many years of electronic political activism beginning with The Paul Revere Network BBS, Leroy has established a reputation for his pro-gun, pro-law enforcement efforts and communicates daily with hundreds of LEOs and law enforcement-friendly citizens.

Law Enforcement Code of Ethics

“As a law enforcement officer, my fundamental duty is to serve the community; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the constitutional rights of all to liberty, equality and justice.”

    leroy,
i don’t see a “registration” page so i’ll just go ahead with a trial post. i suggest you might consider adding some sort of “general discussion” section for new members to introduce themselves, and for topics that do not fit in specific categories. maybe call it “the break room” or “donut shop” or some such, describing a less formal setting than the main sections.

Good idea, Gunner. I’ve got just the thing for it.

    Thanx,
    Leroy

Hey, baaaaack awaaaaaay from the donuts….that’s how I got my ‘handle’. I’d go into a coffee shop and they always asked if I wanted a doughnut w/ my coffee, half joking. I’d tell ‘em, “Just say NO to donuts” – after a spell I’d walk in and they’d say, Hey, It’s Officer NO donuts….. And the rest is history or is it his story??

Thanks for the invite Leroy. I’ll participate as much as I can – good stuff. My suggestion is Choir Practice or somethin’ of that ilk as a general BS room -
On a side note, and related to the 2AM rights, moving to North Dakota has definitely been an expereince. Yesterday, coming home from work there was a truck stopped in the middle of the road (state highway). I stopped to see if all was well. The guy says, “ya, just shootin’ some muskrats.” With that his buddy raises a Marlin .22LR and pops a few rounds off I don’t even think to bat an eye. It’s just “how it is” here in the Dakota Territory!!

NoDonutz, I’ve seen some of the pics you posted on Facebook since you relocated to N.Dakota. Looks a lot better since the spring thaw!

    Thanx,
    Leroy

    Leroy,
I just received a post on my face book page with your old “Truth” video. I put a note on it indicating that I used to shoot with you back in that time frame (SCVRC). Boy, has that been a while, we both are a little gray now and a whole bunch older, but still kicking. I’m currently an elected Constable in Texas and still teaching pistol, rifle, and shotgun along with CHL classes. Every now and then my son say’s “I wonder what happened to Leroy”, well now I can tell him. Hope all continues to work out and you remain in good health.
